Born in Iraq, Nash’s life was shaped by the aftermath of the Gulf War. In the years following the conflict, many refugees sought to escape the war-torn region and make a new life in the United States. Nash and his family were fortunate to be among those granted the opportunity to settle in the U.S. After leaving Iraq at a young age, Nash’s family found refuge in Greece, a nation known for easing the path for refugees seeking to reach America.
While Nash and his family are grateful for the hospitality they received in Greece, their ultimate goal was to settle in the United States, the land of opportunity. After applying for residency, their application was approved, and they prepared for a new life in America.
Nash vividly remembers the day his family arrived in the U.S.—it was also his 18th birthday, December 17, 1992. For refugees fleeing war, arriving in America symbolized a new beginning. At that time, Nash had only an elementary school education, limited English skills, and struggled with reading and writing. However, what he did possess was a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a deep desire to help others. For Nash and his family, America would prove to be a land of immense opportunity.
Today, Nash is the President and CEO of Angelo’s Towing & Recovery, a family-owned and operated business with nearly two decades of experience.
